5 out of 5 stars Great Band   May 9, 2008
I recently saw America in concert and I began searching for an album that would include all the songs they performed. This album was it. I really enjoy listening to it.

5 out of 5 stars Great Album   April 19, 2008
I really love this album. It is a great album by absolutely great artists. I would recommend everyone to buy this album, especially if you are a baby boomer. Sure brings back so many many memories.

5 out of 5 stars America-The Complete Greatest Hits (2001)   April 17, 2008
Well put together CD with a few not so much "rarities" as just not songs that got credit in the past as greatest hits...which they should have. These men still have the SAME studio sound and crystal clear voices as Day ONE! America is amazing, a must have CD!

America was one of the elite soft-rock groups; only Bread outshines them in my book. Practically every hit is here on a single disc compilation. Best songs on here include "A Horse With No Name", "Sandman", "I Need You", "Ventura Highway", "Tin Man" "Sister Golden Hair". There's also a cover of "California Dreamin'" two brand new tracks that round out the set for a total of 22 songs. This makes it a better collection than History released many years ago.br /br /Rhino has done its usual high quality remastering. The liner notes are very good. I've only been a casual fan of America, soft-rock never being my first choice of listening. There's a little filler here which makes the title somewhat misleading but that's a minor point. Enjoy this on a late night with that special someone with the candles burning.
