Omron HEM-790T November 25, 2008
Good useful product to monitor your BP. I like the ability to track and monitor on my PC. However, the S/W can be more intuitive. Overall very good product.

Work as advertised. November 23, 2008
The HEM-790IT is very easy to use. The cuff goes on easily. One touch of the button and you haave an acurate blood pressure in about a half minute. The cuff only squeezes as hard as it needs to depending on your blood pressure. The software is good but has a few limitations. When in the data screen, you can only do a screen print so if there is more data than shows on the screen, it won't print all of it. You must create a PDF file (which is easy) to print all results. This could also be attached to an email if desired. When printing graphs, it will print only a day, week month, year or all data, not a selected range as in the data screen. The 'all data' display does not separate the greaph by day, week or month, but you can display weekly averages spanning more that one month. The computer inteface is definitely worth it since you just quickly download and print everthing for your doctor to review.

Very easy to use. Good display. Good computer interface.br /Averaging mode of three measurements at approximately one minute intervals is handy.br /Seems repeatable +/- under ten points. Accuracy appears reasonable but I have no way to assess that.br /I like it.

HEM-790IT BP Monitor November 17, 2008
This monitor provided poor results. I compared it to readings at home with an Omron wrist monitor (ModelRX2). It typically reads 20-25 units higher than the wrist monitor for both systolic and diastolic. The wrist monitor has been reasonably consistent and agrees well with my readings at the doctor's office, and another wrist monitor (HEM-608). I took this monitor to the doctor's office as well, and it was 30 units higher than the nurse's and doctor's measurements. My doctor recommended I not use it. He was more pleased with my wrist monitor. As such I have returned the HEM-90IT and am using the wrist monitor since I have much more confidence in it. I bought this unit for its computer record keeping, but its not worth it if I have little confidence in the numbers.
