5 out of 5 stars Background on Michael and his advice to writers   October 28, 2008
This is a fantastic book from an inspiring person.br /br /I interviewed Michael for my own book to see how others could learn from his experiences. This is an excerpt from Book Marketing DeMystified: Enjoy Discovering the Optimal Way to Sell Your Self-Published Book, Practical advice from the inventor of print-on-demand (POD) publishing...br /br /Twelve years ago, when Michael Losier wanted to become a publicbr /speaker and motivational trainer, he had lunch with a mentor who advised,br /"It is tough to be a successful speaker without a book."br /br /Michael kept that in mind as he progressed through teaching smallbr /groups in his home, to training hundreds of people at a time via telephonebr /conference calls and seminars around the world. Before he publishedbr /his book, for a year he had its cover image showing on his websitebr /with a form to collect names of those wanting it. When he self-publishedbr /in 2003, 1,700 copies were sold overnight to people on that list.br /br /Michael's speaking and his book, The Law of Attraction [isbnbr /9780973224009], soon formed an intertwined singlebr /product with each component boosting the other.br /That product package now includes audio CDs andbr /DVDs, and training for people who wish to teachbr /the Law of Attraction themselves. At a seminar, Michaelbr /may train as many as 800 people at once, andbr /then sell 800 copies of his book. He conducted 110br /seminars during 2006.br /br /In four years, using the attraction techniques himself, Michael hasbr /sold more than 250,000 copies and appeared four times on Oprah Winfrey'sbr /radio show. He attracted a publishing contract from Grand Centralbr /Publishing (Warner Books) for a hardcover edition to be translated intobr /28 languages. This fall he'll become a regular expert on Oprah's radiobr /show.br /br /Michael's advice on producing a book product? "My book was reallybr /the teaching manual for my seminars. I had 8 inches of notes that Ibr /condensed into 100 pages for the book. Present your material in a waybr /that appeals to all learning styles. Use short chapters that include personal anecdotes and real-life examples, with helpful illustrations to clarify your information."

4 out of 5 stars A great how-to   October 20, 2008
I have been reading and listening to audio books about metaphysics for many years. I have used the basics of the theory of the law of attraction in my meditation practice and know that the principles helped me to attract my perfect mate. My philosphy on all of these books is to use what makes sense to you and trust your own heart. This book is the one I recommend to all of my friends who want to understand what I do on a regular basis. The other books explain the theory....this one gives the best step by step how-to that I have ever read.

4 out of 5 stars A Simple, Clear, No-Nonsense Guide   October 18, 2008
I bought it with "Nexus: A Neo Novel" a remarkable story of transformation. I found both books exceptionally good!br /br /This book by Losier is a simple, clear, no-nonsense guide to the Law of Attraction. It tells you exactly what you need to know without getting bogged down with unnecessary details. The examples and step-by-step approach taken by Losier are a real help. You easily learn how to apply these principles to your life.br /br /You learn a lot in this neat little guidebook full of information. Even better with "Nexus: A Neo Novel."

5 out of 5 stars Law of Attraction!   September 24, 2008
A great guide to learning what and how to use the Law of Attraction. I believe Mr Losier covers alot of territory and of course, there are many books out there on this subject since The Secret brought this to the forefront. This is one of the most comprehensive.br /I have also read Living The Secret Everyday: My Secret Workbook another great guide using an interactive workbook approach with recipes and exercises to reinforce and help one live positively the Law of Attraction. Their latest CD Living The Secret Everyday: My Secret Meditation is a must-purchase that will help anyone embrace and live according to its principles daily with only 15 minutes of listening each day.

3 out of 5 stars A practical guide to using the Law of Attraction   September 16, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Losier's book is a good introduction to the Law of Attraction(LOA) for those who appreciate a more practical step-by-step approach. Its easy to read and I think Losier's worksheets and examples are helpful in breaking down more abstract concepts in a way that everyone can relate to. If you have any skepticism, about the LOA this might be a good start. You will see value in beginning to organize your thoughts about what you want and how you feel about those things. On some level, though, you do need to accept the workings of the LOA. Losier may gloss over these in an effort to reach a broader audience, but he does credit Abraham-Hicks for much of his inspiration and information, so the next step would be to go directly to the source and then your understanding of, and ability to use, the LOA will really take off. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could.br /br /Note: Many have criticized this book for its short length, but content is what matters. For the price, it is good value if you are new to the LOA, after a short read, you'll know enough to start "using" the LOA, which is the whole point.
