This series is one of the best in the YA vampire genre I have read. Book four is the best of the series so far and I can't wait for May 2010 when book 5 comes out.

I borrowed this series from my daughter, I must say I felt a little silly about that but got over quickly once I realized I was totally and utterly engrossed in this series. The only young adult I have read since not being a young adult is the Twilight series which I loved and thus why I gave the Vampire Academy books a shot. I absolutely loved Blood Promise and on a whole I think this series is even better then the Twilight's, the writing and proofing far better. I also felt that each book was just more enthralling than the previous but none weak. I'm sad I have to wait 6 months for the new Vamp Academy book.

I have really enjoyed this series. Young love and the conflict it brings. The personal battles and physical battles Rose has to go through as a friend, a guardian in training, and dealing with the change of her one true love. I recommend this series to anyone that loves a new twist to the look of vampires and a good love story.
