Novell, the famous network product, bought up Word Perfect and Borland (Quattro Pro, Paradox) to provide a competitive product to the software suites of Lotus and Microsoft in Windows 3.1. The Standard Edition includes Word Perfect, Quattro Pro, Presentations, and Envoy. There is a later version that contains more features for Windows 3.1 (Suite 7). This product supports and accesses other file formats. Word Perfect was long famous as the most professional word processor in DOS, but lost its edge with the shift to Windows. To install support for other word processors (such as 'MultiMate') choose "Perfect Office Setup", "Install", and then "Options". "Conversions" allows selecting other formats that are not in the default formats.br /br /You can install this product in Windows 95; you will still be limited to the 8.3 name format. I choose Word Perfect, Quattro Pro and Shared Components for installation. You will find a conflict between the DAD and the Windows taskbar. I dragged the DAD bar onto the top right of the desktop; or remove it from the "Start Up" list. There may be a conflict between the other Perfect Office components and the FAT32 file system.br /
