1 out of 5 stars Better title: HOW TO BECOME MORE SELF-CENTERED   November 9, 2008

The Hicks are nothing more than ex-Amway peeps who repackaged their speil into a new-age 'channeling' picture...to capture YOUR money, mind, and YES...even your soul!!br /br /Beware the persons who promise a quick, magical fix and beware the persons who claim to have a special direct link to God, or Source, or what have you."br /br /Better to read:br /br /"How To Be An Adult, A Handbook For Psychological and Spiritual Integration" by David Richo!!!!br /br /Reading HIS stuff, you'll learn how to make yourself a better, MUCH happier person... br /br /...do NOT BUY into the Hicks' rip-off... you'll only be supporting their bottomless egos and their already FAT wallets!

4 out of 5 stars Some Practical Solutions.   October 14, 2008
I liked reading the book, turned out to be an easy read, in the sense it does not require the highest order thinking to comprehend! The suggestions are nice and practical. The first part of the book sets the conceptual background- aligning your thoughts, letting go of the oars, upstream vs downstream, inner being and so on. As you absorb these concepts you are well advised to keep the patience, the real practical advise is just around the corner! The practical solutions come in part II of the book and if you are short on time, you can actually jump to part II of the book straight. br / In part II the author walks us through different scenarios which I am sure a lot of us can relate to- 1) I can not lose weight 2) I am disorganized 3) I am not happy at work 4) I have illness in my family 5) I have kids who fight constantly 6)I am getting divorced, breakup ..the list goes on. I did find them useful, it puts you in the right mental framework to attack the problem at hand. Of course no amount of preaching can substitute for action, so if you are hoping for quick fix or a holy grail, this is certainly not it. But if you are willing to put in the effort, the book points to many strategies in the right direction. One has to agree with that, actually it is not just this book but any other good self-help book, where basically the emphasis is on positive self talk. This book is no different, other than some practical strategies in part II of the book! Enjoy and Absorb!!

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful Book!   October 13, 2008
Another fantastic Abraham-Hicks book! I recommend starting with the first book: "Ask and it is Given" as it covers everything you need to know and has great exercises in the back. Once you read Ask and it is Given, you'll probably want every Abraham-Hicks book and this one provides even more amazing insight into how we all create our lives and can have everything we desire. Truely fun, peace-giving, enlightening information for anyone who wants more of life's "good stuff."

5 out of 5 stars Physical You Catches Up With Inner You = Manifestion   October 1, 2008

I think this is one of the best books out all of the Abraham books. However they're all good. This book is about how the inner you is already that which you desire, be, do, have. The resistance comes from you not allowing the natural flow. The physical you has to catch up with Your Source or spirit, who has already gone to the next level. Even the Christian bible tells us to renew our minds. T. Harv Eker says, "No thought lives rent free". Our thoughts and what we focus on are so important. Also read the Law Of Attraction by Esther Hicks as well.
