Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A Must for Parents   March 19, 2001

Without Spoken Gems, I'd probably write down the funny things my kids say on crumpled scraps of paper, which would likely end up serving as rocks for my sons' toy dump trucks. This beautifully illustrated book is a must-have for busy parents -- and a great baby shower gift as well.

5 out of 5 stars A great gift!   June 8, 2000

How many times has a child spoken in wisdom beyond their years, or has said the funniest thing you have ever heard. This book is perfect for jotting down those precious aural moments. It is a great gift for a new parent, a parent who has one to a gazillion kids, a grandparent and even for teachers. The illustrations by Ms. Mericle-Harper are so warm and vibrant. And the style of Ms. Krouse Rosenthal's humorous writing make it a joy to read. The book helps you to hang on to those tiny voices forever.
