Product Description
divOh, the joys of pregnancy! There's the gassiness, constipation, queasiness, and exhaustion, the forgetfulness, crankiness, and the constant worry. Of course, no woman is spared the discomforts and humiliations of pregnancy, but most are too polite to complain or too embarrassed to talk about them. Not Jenny McCarthy! In the iNew York Times/i best-selling iBelly Laughs/i, actress and new mother Jenny McCarthy reveals the naked truth about the tremendous joys, the excruciating pains, and the unseemly disfigurement that go along with pregnancy. Never shy, frequently crude, and always laugh-out-loud funny, McCarthy covers it all in the grittiest of girlfriend detail. From morning sickness and hormonal rage, to hemorrhoids, pregnant sex, and the torture and sweet relief that is delivery, iBelly Laughs/i is must-read comic relief for anyone who is pregnant, who has ever been pregnant, is trying to get pregnant, or, indeed, has ever been born! /div

5 out of 5 stars Freaking Hysterical!!   December 3, 2008
I purchased this book as soon as I got the positive prego test...and I'm so glad!! It's freaking hysterical! There are so many books for reference that new mothers have to read that taking a break from those to read Belly Laughs was something I really appreciated. I read it in a few hours found myself laughing out loud the whole time. My husband even enjoyed reading it as well. If you want to learn laugh your arse off, you need this book.

3 out of 5 stars Good read but some faults!   December 2, 2008
I read this book in one day...it's very short. I liked the fact that she dared talk about things that no-one even mentions but I was disappointed that it is definitely not research based. It has no knowledgable facts and I would not use this as a reference. I have read several pregnancy books. Some good laughs but I really thought it was better based on the reviews.

5 out of 5 stars Hysterical!   November 30, 2008
This was soooo funny!! And oh SO true. I read it repeatedly during my pregnancy and it was funny every single time.

5 out of 5 stars everything no one will ever tell you   November 26, 2008
It's the horrible truth. The parts of pregnancy no one talks about. Jenny is brutally honest and down to earth, so prepare yourself! This is not a book for the easily offended! I read this in combination with a more "objective" book. The informative book gave me the facts. This book added a real life element that helped me know better what to expect. I highly recommend it!

4 out of 5 stars oh my gosh!....   November 20, 2008
this book was so funny! I'm not a first time mom, this will be my third baby making his debut at the end of may or early June, but it's refreshing to hear that pregnancy takes everyone by surprise at first. I wish I had this book when I was prego with my first:) Jenny leaves nothing to the imagination, and is really informative about all the weird stuff. I've never understood why pregnancy isn't talked about to all women. I've let my friend who is trying to get pregnant borrow this book so that she has some idea of what goes on. I did include a warning to her though that not all pregnancies are the same and Jenny McCarthy is just one example.
