5 out of 5 stars See the World from the Feelings of your Child   January 1, 2006

Dr. Leman helped me see the possible feelings and thoughts that my children may be having in certain situations. He not only writes from the perspective of the parents, but also from the children. He provides examples of how parents typically respond and then provides alternatives that are more healthy and relationship-building. No matter what your situation, children need love, an understanding of their feelings, consistency and boundaries. He does a good job at encouraging these. He's a humorous writer and is easy to read. It's a great book.

1 out of 5 stars pie in the sky   November 20, 2004

Dr. Leman is a typical writer who can only think within his own personal world. He has no concept of what life is like for those of us who have a spouse who is not like Dr. Leman, nothing at all like him. These idealistic ideas of Dr. Leman's are just so much fluff. Dr. Leman thinks everyone lives in his wonderful world. Shame on him for taking the money from hard working people who just want to do their best to raise their children inspite of all the obstacles in their own households.
