5 out of 5 stars Potty Training Made Easy   September 29, 2008

Pantley is one of those amazing parenting book writers whose primary focus is one of compassion. In The No-Cry Potty Training Solution, she talk about listening to your children's body language and reading the cues. As a new parent, I found her book extremely helpful when it came to potty training my child. The book is full of tips and tricks that can help parents in the early days of potty training. With the aid of Pantley's book, I was able to separate my child's unique situation from the standard textbook's and really listen in to what her body was telling me. In a few short weeks, she was fully trained and was able to say bye bye to her diaper. I would highly recommend this book to any parent struggling with this important milestone in their children's life.

5 out of 5 stars simply perfect   September 23, 2008

I love this book. It is simply perfect. It is simple to read- clear and to the point. I do not have time to read long winded- drawn out books. Nor, do I have time to do anything elaborate with potty training. This book broke it down to make this an easy win-win situation for me and the kids. Thank you!

5 out of 5 stars Everything you've always wanted to know about Potty Training!   September 23, 2008

I've had years of experience working with young children and seeing the frustration they and their parents went though during the potty-training phase. When it was time to potty train my son, I was understandably nervous. Elizabeth Pantley's book simplified things in such a way that I knew right away what methods I felt would work for my son and for me and he was potty-trained within a week by 2.5 years old. There was absolutely no fuss, no crying, no stress and he enjoyed it as much as I did. I have encouraged all my friends to use the book and thus far, none of the 30 families that followed her methods had any difficulty with the process. I believe that all children will eventually be potty-trained but the book ensures that it will be a smooth and easy transition from diapers to underwear! I feel that anyone who has difficulty taking the information and applying it to their situation is just looking for an easy fix and these methods do take time and effort but so does all good parenting! I rarely review books and will only do so if I feel that it is a true treasure that needs to be shared with other parents and this book is one of them! I always give a copy to friends when their child is close to the age of showing readiness. Elizabeth Pantley is a genius in that she takes her personal experience and years of research as well as the personal experiences of others and puts it all together in a hands-on, user-friendly book that anyone can use and be successful with as long as they are willing to apply the information! This book, along with her other books, are a requirement for every home library!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Book for Potty Training!!!!   September 23, 2008

I think this book is a must read for every parent that is about to begin the journey into Potty Training. This book gives practical advice, and reminds us that guiding our children can and should be a gentle process for all involved. I have all of Elizabeth Pantley's books and defintely recommend them to everyone I know who is a parent! I found the no-cry potty trainging book to be especially helpful and made potty training my daughter an easy experience for both of us!

1 out of 5 stars LAMOMOF3   September 22, 2008

This book repeated the same useless information that I have read a hundred times. Just, basically, let your child train themself, even if they are four years old. Nothing interesting, thought-provoking, or even particularly helpful here. If you want to THINK about training, or be educated about it, I have read several MUCH better books.
