5 out of 5 stars great product   November 20, 2008
Let me start with the Cons of this product, its size but I relized it would be large compared to other SD card readers from the pictures and the way it is arranged. I have an Env cell phone and it as thick when the phone is closed and it just over half as wide and about 3/4 as long. If you tight on space and USB ports it will block any ports next to it so beware, it dose come with a extention cable to solve this so no problem for me. My only problem with this product is it color I hate white I would have prefered if it was black but I knew that when I bought it so I wont take anything off for that.br /br /Now to talk about the problem others have reported. I've been pluging and unpluging my for the last three days and no problems like some others have reported. The plastic slides to remove the cards seem sterdy enought so im not worried. Also some have mentioned that it's hard to distinguish which side is which on my there is writeing on the sides one side says "Kingston" the othe "Mobilelite" also the doors are a diffirent shape. All around I think this is a great product and am ordering atleast one more for my wife to use and maybe another incase something happens to this one and they are out of production then.

2 out of 5 stars It doesn't work consistently.   November 18, 2008
Maybe I just got a lemon, but it's not dependable. I had to connect the card reader to three different computers before the last computer finally recognized it. Then it took three tries for the device to read the memory card I put in it.

1 out of 5 stars Don't Buy this   November 2, 2008
It worked one time. That's all! Everyone seems to have the same problem. Kingston should recall these, I think there is a faulty batch of these.

1 out of 5 stars Shoddy construction, plastic cap would not pop   October 28, 2008
I bought this because Amazon gave it a 4 star review. It's a really cheaply made item. I can't pop the plastic SDHC cover without a tool because the plastic cover is so tightly snapped on the reader. It's really frustrating trying to put the card in and out. If they had used a higher quality plastic that does not WARP in time then they could have mitigated the problem. Overall, a very badly designed reader. Also it's quite bulky compared to its competitors. I thought Kingston products were superb. I'm going back to Sandisk again. Even though Sandisk is 20-30% more expensive, at least their product is 100% more usable.

4 out of 5 stars Works fine, very handy.   October 26, 2008
Works fine, does what it's supposed to. Reduced the rating by one star because it doesn't seem very sturdy, but I've been using it for several days and haven't had any problems.br /br /I chose this product instead of a USB flash drive because I wanted to record then remove and store cards. I also like the idea of loading up the slots to have a choice of drives available for data. A big advantage of this reader over others is that you can put the cards in and leave them - nothing protrudes, completely portable.
