4 out of 5 stars Need a remix   May 21, 2008
This is absolutely one of John Denver's best albums. I pretty much like all the songs on this album. What about this remastered edition? It sounds a lot better than previous versions but not as nice as the bonustracks. The sound of these bonustracks is very full and alive. You just wish the whole album sounded like these bonustracks. Maybe RCA should reconcider releasing John Denver's catalogue in a newly mixed edition (like they did on the 'A Songs Best Friend'cd). He was RCA's biggest selling artist in the 70's, so it would be a good idea to have the audio quality improved. That way John's music could survive for a longer time. They might do what another former RCA artist has done on a couple of his 70's albums. David Bowie asked his producer Tony Visconti to take the original mastertracks to the studio, and clean up the audio and mix the album anew with all the modern equipment available nowadays and I must say these albums sound amazingly new and fresh. These John Denver bonustracks makes you wonder what these albums could soundlike when having had the same treatment as these bonustracks or like the Bowie albums.

I got this one for the Mrs. It made her really happy, which is nice. Brought back lots of fond childhood memories of sunday mornings, bacon and eggs and Jon Denver records. good times

1 out of 5 stars Got an LP not a CD   July 30, 2007

Amazon, create a way to say an item is an LP not a CD, I thought it was a CD when I bought it and got the LP instead. So I do not recommend it just based on that, sure wish I could listen to it.

5 out of 5 stars Back Home Again - John Denver   March 29, 2007

I remember having this LP Album in the 70's and was very happy to have it on CD with some of my very favorite John Denver songs - especially the song "Matthew", which I haven't been able to find on other John Denver CD's. This music brings back lots of good memories.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful   March 9, 2007

I'd be still happy with my vinyl copy still if it weren't so scratchy in places. The remastering sounds fresh as the day it was recorded so I'm happy with the cd. It captures a wonderful period in John's career. If you're in any doubt about this one allay your fears as it's John at his country mode best. Although having said that you can't beat John's live work. That's where he really shined! You're still the greatest John!br /
