Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com essential recording
The term "middle of the road" was virtually invented for Kenny Loggins, whose brand of plain and pleasant pop/rock has always managed to find a place on the charts. This 15-song set has most of the hits you'll need, including the soundtrack singles ("I'm Alright," "Danger Zone," "Footloose") and the duets with Stevie Nicks and Steve Perry. One thing is for sure: the man certainly knows a good hook when he hears it. I--Marc Greilsamer/I

5 out of 5 stars Not a bad one in the bunch   June 16, 2008
I was lucky enough to see Loggins in a small venue. He is an amazing musician which is I'm afraid a skill lacking in many top artists. All the songs on the album are familiar but they still delight. Loggins doesn't recreate the same song over and over so I applaud his proficiency. He is not experimental but is able to make original music with beautiful lyrics, not an easy feat. I do like his work with Messina too as Messina added some musicianship whihc made their folky rock songs better. Alone though he incorporates more thank basic folk/rock sounds.

5 out of 5 stars Kenny Loggins still rocks   July 29, 2007
This CD was everything I expected and more. The title tracks from Footloose and Top Gun took me back to the movies - which were the HOT back in its days.br /br /I also intend to use one of the tracks for my wedding song.br /br /Highly recommended for any Kenny Loggins fan and anyone who appreciates good music.

5 out of 5 stars If you love Kenny, you'll love this   July 17, 2007
I have been a fan of Kenny for years!! I attended my first Loggins Messina concert way back in 1975. This is a collection of some of his more familiar hits. I bought this to replace the copie that I have literaly worn out. I keep it in my car to play when transporting my five grandchildren to and from their many activities. This one and also "Back to Pooh Corner" are their favorites. It is music that they enjoy and doesn't drive me crazy like some of the other things they listen to at home. They are both timeless music for all generations.
