Product Description
Dual Action Knee Strap Cho-Pat's newly patented Dual Action Knee Strap provides an extra dimension of relief for painful and weakened knees. The strap applies pressure upon the patellar tendon below the kneecap to stabilize and tighten up the kneecap mechanism, which improves patellar tracking and elevation and reduces patellar subluxation. It adds further strengthening to the kneecap mechanism by applying pressure on the tendon above the kneecap as well. This tends to reduce the forces of the quadriceps on the patella tendon and erosion of the undersurface of the kneecap due to a possible misalignment of the quadriceps (Q angle). The device's design and construction apply constant dynamic forces to the surrounding areas of the knee reducing the likelihood of overuse syndromes. At the same time, the strap allows for full mobility while providing maximum benefits.

5 out of 5 stars Knee strap - great for bad knees   July 10, 2010

I have awfully bad knees, may need surgury soon but for the time being these knee straps are very good and comfortable to wear. These straps support the upper and lower part of the knee and doesn't put pressure on the knee cap. I use these straps when I'm excercising or walking and find that my knees are giving out, these straps give me that extra support that I need. They are a little bulky so you can't wear them underneath your pants but they will hide under a full loose fitting skirt.

5 out of 5 stars WORKED GREAT   May 10, 2010

I bought this for my husband who has ligment issues and refused surgery. He has many prefitted braces that are large and cumbersome, he was amazed at how good his knee feels wearing this brace. So glad I read the prior reviews and ordered this.

4 out of 5 stars Very effective brace   May 8, 2010
LostinHouston (Houston, TX)
I wanted to try this brace for those few days when I get a "twinge" in my knee. I've used other braces, but this one seemed better designed for active movement. I've used it several times and it's worked well. My knee felt supported, the brace was comfortable, and my knee was back to feeling normal by the next day. The only down side is figuring out the placement and adjustment. Something on it rubbed my skin roughly, but a few adjustments and it felt comfortable. It appears to be sturdy construction. Recommended.

4 out of 5 stars Pain relief without having to take meds and good knee support too   May 3, 2010
CatsNQuilts
This knee strap has helped me greatly when I'm having trouble sleeping from knee and foot pain. I don't like to take over-the-counter meds all the time (usually acetaminophen) and I refuse to use any prescription pain killers to be able to sleep. This knee strap helps relieve both knee and foot pain that I have been able to sleep most of the time without taking any meds. I sometimes use it while walking and it has helped relieve that pain too and support my knee well. The top strap tends to slide down a lot, but the bottom strap has never slipped. It needs some sort of side supports to help keep the top strap in place. (I bought 2 of these from different vendors, so I'm leaving feedback for both.)

5 out of 5 stars Goodbye Knee Pain   April 29, 2010

If you have chondromalacia of the patella and are wondering if this inexpensive product will work...try it! My experience has been GREAT. I can't believe the difference during and after a run. I used to experience some mild pain during a run and then sometimes searing pain afterwards - to the extent that giving up on running was becoming a distinct possibility. I'd look at the bigger, bulkier and much more expensive braces, but they looked too restrictive. Giving this brace a "try" was the best thing I could have done for my running. I am now pain free. The brace is comfortable to wear and works. I was so happy that I bought a second one as a backup in case the other was being washed or whatever.

In terms of sizing. I had initially purchased an extra small...it was tiny; so I exchanged for a small which is very comfortable. There is a very big difference between the extra small and small - the extra small only allowed for about an inch or two of velcro to contact so the bands on the brace were not correctly placed. The small fully wraps around(actually overlaps) and feels more secure. Happy running.
