Perfect lap desk October 30, 2008
It's a nice simple wooden lap desk. Exactly what I wanted. The wood is nicely finished and feels sturdy, but the desk is light-weight and comfortable. The pad is black cloth with what feels like small foam peanuts for the padding. So it forms to your lap nicely and comfortably without being overly hot. I used it for my laptop (Macbook Pro, 15") and the little lip works great to hold the laptop from sliding towards me. There is just enough room (barely) for me to slide it to one side and use my wireless mighty mouse. It also sits steady on the bed beside me so I can set my laptop up on it and watch video or read while laying down.

Great Lap Desk!!! September 21, 2008
I ordered this so I would not be glued to my desk all the time with my laptop. It came very quickly and was just gorgeous! Very well made. Plenty of room to the side for a mouse/pad. The pencilholder keeps the laptop from slipping. I also got the X-Pad to go with it and my legs stay cool, the fan on the laptop doesn't run nearly as much. I'm very happy with the whole thing and highly recommend this beautiful wood desk.

Great purchase August 31, 2008
The cadilac of lap desks. Not kiddy, not geriatric, but classic style and looks like a piece of expensive furniture. Very comfortable on my lap, light weight, and easy to store. I'm a teacher, and it makes grading my papers in my easy chair pleasant and comfortable..

Wood screws have fallen. Bottom frame has come apart. Poor quality for the price. Beans of bean bag started to come out when the bottom frame started to become loose. Truly disapointed with this product

Because I am short, my legs are not level when I sit in most chairs so, I could not keep the lap desk level either. It looks well made and works ok if I use a foot stool.
