5 out of 5 stars My Favorite Dail Reading Book   August 23, 2008

This is my favorite daily affirmation book. This book has an excellent combination topics. I really like the reminders of the basic "blocking and tackling" needed keep food clean according to her food plan. I also like her reminders on how to deal with life's challenges. I have used many different daily reading books and this is hands down my favorite.

3 out of 5 stars Too 'Workbook-y'   July 16, 2006

If you want to really work on your recovery this is a great book. Of course recovery involves tremendous work, but I prefer meditation books to aid in spiritual connection via quiet prayer. This has passages that suggests tasks to the reader.br /Having been in recovery for many years, I can say this book is from an expert in the field and the information provided invaluable. People new to recovery from food addiction ought seek out a sponsor before buying this book. Use of this alone is not recommened even for the 'oldtimers'br /It's too distracting for me to consult when taking the time to meditate.

2 out of 5 stars Not bad...   November 26, 2003

This is my least favorite of my meditation books. Following the author's food plan (which I do) seems to be a necessity in order to find this book endurable.brI think OA's meditation books and Elizabeth L.'s are much better.
