4 out of 5 stars Great Calendar   November 18, 2009

I like this calendar. Plenty of space to keep all the ongoing events, etc. The only thing I don't like is I preferred the stickers from a few years ago, instead of the last 2 years. The others had a lot more different kind of stickers, for example pay bills, coffee date, call, haircut, sleepover etc. They don't have these now, nor a lot more. On the stickers now, they have carpool, game, activity and practice which take up nearly three quarters of the stickers.

3 out of 5 stars New Bonus Feature not Bonus to me   October 26, 2009

I ordered this calendar after sending back the Super Sized calendar that was not magnetic as stated in the description. I have been ordering this calendar for years and found that the 2010 version is smaller because of the so called "Bonus feature" on the left side for listing names of family members. This makes the actual date sections smaller than it has been in the past. This is a useless feature to me. The manufacturer should make a supersized MAGNETIC calendar without a spot for family names.

4 out of 5 stars Not crazy about the changes, but still love this calendar   October 19, 2009

I've been using this calendar for several years now for our family of 4, and just love it. This year they changed it so that you only have to write each family member's name once, which sounds like a great idea. In practice, however, the calendar pages don't lay flat enough to actually see the names on the bottom page, plus, anything you put in the pocket that's higher than the pocket itself blocks the names on the bottom week. I'm going to continue to use this calendar, but I really hope they go back to the old style for the next one.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastically Excellent Calendar   October 16, 2009

After I received one of these calendars as a gift about 5 or 6 years ago, I have made sure to purchase one every year since!!!!! I absolutely love it. I have enough room in each date square to write everyone's activities. I don't have any use for the stickers that come with it but I don't care. I give them to my kids to play with. I am especially happy with the pocket where I can easily file and find papers of upcoming events! I cannot say enough about this family calendar.

1 out of 5 stars Hate the 2010 new "bonus" feature!!!   October 3, 2009

Yesterday I received the new 2010 version of this calendar. I've been purchasing this particular calendar for over 5 years now. I've loved many aspects of the calendar - the pocket to store tickets, flyers, often-referred-to school papers, the magnetic strip making it easy to hang and the bigger spaces and lines to write lots of information. However, their new "BONUS" feature in the 2010 is a classic case of marketing gone awry. Basically the calendar pages are only 2/3 the previous size. They claim this is an improvement because you only have to write your family members names once for the year. I have always used it to keep track of weekly school goals as well as other things that may be going on for all or part of that week that would take up too much space on each actual day. Now, I don't have that option. Just as annoying, if you use the pocket to store various full sheets of paper, they jut out the side of the calendar looking very unorganized and messy AND they cover the family names section on the bottom half of the calendar. That kind of cancels out the usefulness of even having the family name section for those that use it like that.

I was highly disappointed to find that Avalanche Publishing added this useless "bonus" feature to their Family Planning Calendar as well so now I don't even have an alternate choice to get the same features that have impressed me in the past. Note to Avalanche Publishing: You've lost a loyal customer. Please bring back the calendar in its previous form.
