3 out of 5 stars VERY basic stuff you might not need a book for ...   October 20, 2008

Not bad, but very basic and filled with stuff you might have easily figured out on your own just by using LinkedIn. I was hoping there would be more content on how to really leverage LinkedIn to develop your business, harnessing it as a tool for getting customers, building a brand, etc. Those themes are very lightly touched on. br /br /Heavy users of LinkedIn will likely find this pabulum. br /br /I did, at least ... Your mileage may vary....br /

3 out of 5 stars Buy New Glasses Before Reading This Book   October 15, 2008

As a recent subscriber to LinkedIn, I wanted a tutorial book on how to use LinkedIn and how to use it for networking. Eric Butow knows how LinkedIn works and Kathleen Taylor knows about networking. The combination could have produced an excellent book. The problem I had with this book is for a tutorial, you want to read the text and then look at the screen shots to see what the author was talking about. The screen shots are sooooooo small that you can hardly read the text. This made it very difficult to read and I finally had to go online at LinkedIn to see what the author was refering to.br /br /The context of the book is good, but the format is poor. I would skip this book and look for another. Very disappointed in this American Management Association publication.
