5 out of 5 stars Inspiring information   May 15, 2008

I really enjoyed the book. I find this type of information inspiring and very helpful. I think I have already been using a lot of this already in my living but it is nice to read and see someone else who has and thinks a lot of the same way I do. I could not put it down once I started to read it.

4 out of 5 stars Good advice on how intuition can help with decision-making   April 11, 2008

According to the author, the best way to make choices is to combine the use of intuition, logic and common sense. She mainly emphasizes the use of intuition, but notes the other two should be used to assess the reasonableness of what your intuition is telling you. br /br /She notes that there are barriers to overcome in order to access your intuition, including:br /--Overcome doubt and cultivate energybr /--Overcome self-delusion and face the truth about yourselfbr /--Overcome ego and cultivate gratitudebr /--Overcome arrogance and become a student againbr /--Overcome your fear of failure and be willing to make mistakes, etc.br /br /She then goes on to offer an easy-to-understand formula for tapping into your intuition.br /br /I enjoyed reading the book and she offers some great support for using your intuition, along with good stories about some famous and not-so-famous people who relied on their intuition with good results or ignored their intuition with negative results. br /br /The main difficulty comes in applying what you learn here. As the author acknowledges, sometimes it's hard to assess whether it's really your intuition talking to you, or whether it's your own desires or fears you're hearing in your head. Also, she notes you should use intuition, logic and common sense to make your best choices, but in some instances the 3 don't agree, making your decision more difficult.br /br /Still and all, I would recommend the book. It's easy reading and she does a great job of illustrating the importance of using your intuition. Also, most things improve with practice, so some of the difficulties in applying her advice may be overcome by strengthening your intuition through practice. br /

5 out of 5 stars Char brings the "goodies" from the universe   March 31, 2008

What's so nice about this book is that it reintroduces you to all the insight and knowledge of what it is Char's been trying to spread before with her other books. It's simple and available for you to tap into and Char explains how and what the differences are. Just like anything and with a little practice, we can all benefit from the "goodies" (as I'd like to call them) our universe has to offer. I believe there are eager and willing teachers on the other side that are excited to pass down wisdom and truth to help us grow here on earth. Char teaches us to tap into it and the rest is up to us depending on how much we want to learn. This is a feel good book...a book when you put down.. doors open and wonderful things happen because we are shown just how available it is for us when we learn the gifts of our thoughts. The voice that says inside...yes...I totally get it!

3 out of 5 stars Feeling It!   March 11, 2008

Mixing her views on life - the present and hereafter - with stories from her reading experiences, Psychic Char Margolis offers a simple procedure for calming emotions and letting the inner voice speak on matters such as health, love, the job, investing, and even sex. br /br /Her 4 steps for 'intuitive asking' are rather straight forward:br /br /Step 1: Create the Right Atmosphere for Tuning In to the Universebr /Step 2: Focus on the Present and Clear Your Mind of Thoughts br /Step 3: Ask Your Question Without Being Emotionally Involvedbr /Step 4: Pay attention to What You're Gettingbr /br /But, and this is a rather big but, it is hard to know when this darn thing called intuition is real - what about "trickster energies" messing everything up? To avoid these "trickster" energies it is always a good idea to precede these steps by imagining a white light surrounding you and saying a prayer of protection - so that is what I have been doing wrong!br /br /It seems if you do this protection thing, then you can accept the absoluteness of what Margolis says about our inner wisdom: "Our inner wisdom always has our best interests at heart. If you allow it, it will help you make the best decisions ...... you need to learn to listen to its directives very carefully and not to let your desires keep you from hearing the true inner voice... Remember, even if your choice ends up being wrong there may be a greater lesson for you..."br /br /That sounds a bit like her advice of money: "First, take care of what you already have..... Second, signal your willingness to receive..... Third, give to others..... Fourth, be grateful no matter what." It is all so easy, just listen to your inner wisdom and things will work out; for better or for worse. Now, I ask you, "What is so difficult about being psychic?" It seems we all do it all the time - use our gut instincts to make choices that are either good or bad.br /br /The book is an easy read and stories are uplifting, but the content is of little help toward its advertised goal of discovering wisdom.br /br /Dennis DeWilde, author of "The Performance Connection"

This book gave a lot of great practical advice without all the fluffy filler. Char offers a lot here and I hope she continues to write more!
