5 out of 5 stars An excellent guide to help with a difficult venture   November 2, 2009
Ursula E. Hanks (USA)
This is an excellent guide to help anyone who needs to downsize, wnats to downsize, has to downsize or make that life altering change of moving and adjusting to a different space, usually a smaller one. Vickie covers every detail of not just the practical side of what it takes to move one's life's belongings into a different setting, usually a smaller one as we grow old, and has not left out the most important aspect, the emotional upheaval that it could cause. Her guide will help immensely to help make the decisions that will cause the least amount of stress. Very nicely done!

5 out of 5 stars Not just for Seniors   October 31, 2009
Harry M. Hanks (Marin County California)
This book is definitely not just for seniors, but for anyone wishing or needing to downsize. I highly recommend following this book's suggestion in thoughtfully planning when making any kind of change in living arrangements, and using her accompanying workbook to stay on track. Vicki Dellaquila has an awesome knack for logical, sequential organizing while keeping the emotional aspect in mind during this type of major life event. Great job Vicki!

5 out of 5 stars Best for both sides when downsizing   November 3, 2008
Donna Hart (Marietta, Georgia United States)
One of the best books for seniors and the family of seniors. This book helps to understand what emotions people go through when moving and downsizing. This book helps to let seniors understand why some relatives don't want their stuff, and alternatives to giving to family. Helps seniors know what they are feeling is normal, and alows family members to understand what a senior might be experience when moving. Excellent book. light reading. very informative.

This book is clearly written by an experienced Professional Organizer who knows that it takes quite a bit of `coaching' through the process of moving, whether its seniors, families or individuals. Vickie Dellaquila has written clear steps of what to do throughout the moving process. There are also great resources in the appendices. This book will ensure an easier transition for everyone involved!
